Interested in AI? Thinking of doing a PhD? The UK government is funding us to deliver on their £100M commitment to advanced training in Artificial Intelligence, and we have up to 18 fully funded, 4 year PhD scholarships available for 2020/21. These studentships pay both your fees and a tax-free stipend of £18,285 that increases each year with inflation. The MINDS Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) at the University of Southampton is designed to develop and nurture the next generation of scientists who will have the skills, assets and network to innovate at the Artificial Intelligence and Engineering interface to enable systems with beneficial human impact. Our research projects span both fundamental and applied research in AI and machine learning, autonomous systems and robotics, novel electronics for AI, nanotechnologies and intelligent IoT.
