Student led innovation camp September 2021

Due to easing of restrictions we were able to hold our annual innovation camp in person in September 2021. The innovation camp was planned by CDT students as a mix of training, collaborative activities, and fun. We held team building events including a treasure hunt and a pub quiz. SetSquared provided entrepreneurship training over two days, introducing the students to research commercialisation and the development of ideas for spin-out companies, funding, and support. The final two days were hosted by Thales in Reading, during which student teams worked together to embed machine learning models on edge devices such as a Jetson Nano.
